Haida Gwaii, the Queen Charlotte Islands are renowned to be the most successful Salmon Fishing in the world. Why? The Charlottes are comprised of over 150 islands providing rich feeding grounds that essentially force every salmon in the Pacific Northwest into a feeding frenzy before they continue on their migration. The result is virtually no down time in-between runs. What does this mean? It means that we have salmon all season long and no down time catching fish, they’re always passing through. This truly is the longest and largest salmon run in the world!

What separates us from other fishing destinations is your opportunity to catch Chinook salmon all summer long, every salmon passing by our fishing grounds spend time feeding in our rich bait infested waters then move on to their destination, these are transitory fish, not terminal fish. Our coastline also has numerous pinnacles and reefs; these areas provide the perfect habitat for Halibut, Ling Cod, Yellow Eye and several other species of Rockfish. Fishing with Queen Charlotte Safaris allows you to take more fish home and catch more fish per person than any area on the West Coast, including Alaska.
Our beautiful, rustic lodge overlooks the bay in Sandspit and is only minutes from the airport. We are ideal for groups, corporate retreats, families, couples and the single angler. The fish tales begin on your way back to the lodge each night and continue at the dinner table over delicious meals prepared by our chef. After dinner step outside onto our spacious deck and watch the eagles soar above you.
